Palm Motel, Waihi is located on SH2, and from Auckland is 1km out of the Karangahake Gorge on the right side within palm tree alley or if coming from Tauranga turn left at roundabout in Waihi town centre and it is 1km on the left side.

At the Palm Motel our aim is to provide a variety of facilities to enable us to accommodate all. We have a range of accommodation options, from studio units to 1-bedroom units and we are happy to accommodate for short or long-stay. Whether accommodation is required for business or pleasure, families or tourists or for 1 person to a large group, we have accommodation for you.

Our recently refurbished units are self-contained, designated smokefree and are serviced daily. They are equipped with complimentery refreshments, toiletries, crockery/cuttlery, electric blankets, heaters, toaster/kettle/microwave. Some units have cooking facilities, flat screen TVs and our larger units have a DVD player.

We also offer our guests rental cars, wireless internet, swimming pool, BBQ and a large outdoor area to relax or dine. Children’s playground, spacious grounds, ground level units for easy access and off-street parking outside your unit give our motel a relaxed feel.

Palm Motel is an ideal base to explore the many interesting features of Waihi. These include Martha Goldmine, Goldfield Vintage Railway, Victoria Battery, Waihi Museum, waterlily gardens, various walks such as the Karangahake Gorge, wineries. Close to Waihi Beach.

Waihi town centre has interesting shopping including fashion, jewellery, homeware and cafes. The town proudly displays art to view and purchase. Quality souvenirs representing Waihi and New Zealand, many created by locals, highlight the unique mix of contempory and traditional New Zealand.
